DAMNED STATEMENT

Statement

My paintings of the recent past years reflect the deaths and losses I have experienced. DAMNED, and its fine circle of artists, feel like home and family to me. "DAMNED, an Exhibition of Enlightened Darkness" is a totally unique and very emotional occasion for those of us who have learned that darkness is a necessary and unavoidable part of life, as is both night and day, and it can be rich in creative treasures. I painted all three of my paintings below after a major loss. It was healing and cathartic for me to paint these pieces and to be involved with the artists and curator of DAMNED. I've made many friends along the way, friendships I hope will last for life.
